Canal walk from the historic Gloucester dockyards. Weather was ok but overcast. Nice walk but not one of my favourites.
We visited Saltaire, Hebden Bridge then Haworth where we did the walk. All very beautiful Yorkshire towns. Walk was ok the weather was mainy drizzle and occasional rain.
We chose this stretch of Angelsea as part of the whole Angelsea coastal path. It was a beautiful beach walk up to a head land with 2 lighthouses...stunning. Another lovely hot day.
Pretty tough walk as expected. We chose the South face as Grade 1 scramble - still tricky to navigate for the inexperienced walker. Absolutely stunning though but tough climb on a really hot day.
Was beautiful and should be higher in the list probably, we did a section on the beach but mostly followed the cliff top route. Was 11 miles so caught the bus back as couldn't face walking back as we were worn out from a long weeks walking.
We set off early to catch low tide, we walked across the causeway as the route across the sand looked a bit treacherous. We did return across the sand which was amazing and highly recommended. Had to take our shoes off as very wet and very muddy in places. Probably my favourite walk so far not sure why its so low down the list.
TOp 10 walk so was expecting good things. Lovely ruined catle but very short walk 1.3 miles - we carried on for a bit to the beach on the next bay. Lovely day great pint in the Jolly Fishermans pub in Craster.
Alnmouth is very picturesque, a very long 15km there and back but worth it for the lovely deli in Alnmouth and the walk along a stretch of beautiful beach.
Wonderful walk around the historic Oxford colleges. We did park & ride as Oxford city centre doesn't like cars. Had a lovely day though.
Amesbury to Stonhenge. We didn't quite get the rout right as we had to cross the busy A303, Stonehenge was ok, it was quite a walk to the visitors centre. Not out most enjoyable walk.
Wonderful coastal walk not too arduous. Great views over Swanage and Poole. Highly recommended.
Bath is a city we know well as our son Scott lives there. The city is beautiful and this walk takes in all the amazing architecture of the city, the Roman baths, the Circle and the Circus. Short but stunning.
Lovely walk along the shingle spit to Blakeney Point. Glorious day we're so lucky with the weather.
Well trodden trail quite remote in the Brecons but alot of tourists there for half term. 4 lovely waterfalls - take your swim gear for a wild swim or paddle at least. The last fall you could walk behind....very nice for a great picture.
Absolutely stunning walk on the Gower peninsula super hot day and wonderful beach - probably the best beach I've ever seen and the sea was so calm and shallow ideal for young children.
Walk No. 11 Quite steep but pretty quick we were at the top in about 1 1/2 hours. Super hot day and great views.
Nice walk for some very tired bodies, mostly flat with a few uphills, Grasmere is beautiful. We recommed the Ginger biscuit shop...
Very tough and steep walk uphill, we were lucky with the weather almost too hot. Views were stunning at the top.
Absolutely stunning walk 17.6km in total beautiful day and miles of golden beaches. Definately one of our favourites. Should be much higher than 47.....
We loved the Lizard walk it was a beautiful sunny day and Kynance Cove was awesome.
We didn't enjoy this walk as much as other coastal walks, although nice weather it was very boggy and took longer than expected and we were out of practice.
Fantastic walk (home of the tv show Heartbeat), walk along the diused railway line and get the steam train back. Loved this walk very much.
Lovely steep walk up to Roseberry Topping great views. Even though it was 20th Dec it was a beautiful day. Very short walk to the top.
John & Issy Gibson's son Cameron took his own life at 24 and Jon is walking from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for the Canmore Trust (www.thecanmoretrust.co.uk). Good luck John. We enjoyed our day walking with you and the amazing people supporting you on your journey.
Clifton Suspension Bridge Circular walk 6 miles Number 83.
We attended the Isle of Wight Festival and then did the Needles walk no. 29 - it was an amazing walk on a beautifully hot day as you can tell from my pink face.
Walk no. 65 Silver Sands of Morar absolutely beautiful place - highly recommend this one
We visited the Isle of Skye, the Tallisker whiskey distillery (Conor loved his whiskey). We also did walk no. 33 the Fairy Pools - beautiful place but very busy get there early.
We walked Ben Nevis on the anniversary of Conor's death. It was brutal on the knees hips and calves, and is very challenging - got to the top in 3.5 hours very cold above the cloud line with snow and freezing temps. Not for the faint heated.
We are walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks over 3 days in May. Ingleborough is No. 25 we will walk this on 14th May which would have been Conor's 30th birthday. We will scatter some ashes at the top, and will be joined by many family and friends on the walk.
Home to Lady Jane Grey (Queen of England for 9 days) Lovely walk around this surprisingly nice park just north of Leicester.
We're off to Yorkshire coast for a week and will tick this walk off our list. No. 17.
Another Yorkshire coastal walk near Flamborough Head.
We completed this walk in Pembrokeshire on Thursday 17th May 2022. It was a lovely cliff edge walk and St David's is a very small city but has a beautiful gothic cathedral. Highly recommended despite the high winds and cold of February.
